Kale Chips

1 bunch kale

olive oil

sea salt

Preheat oven 350 F

Wash and trim the kale. Removing the stems.

I used kitchen shears, made it pretty easy.

Tear into small bite size pieces.

Make sure the kale is dry. You can use a salad spinner. Or blot with a towel.

Lay a single layer on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.  It’s important to keep a single layer so they crisp up.

Drizzle the olive oil over the kale and sprinkle with sea salt.

Bake for 12 – 15 minutes. They are finished when the edges start to brown. Take them out of the oven, close your eyes and try one. You’ll be surprised how much they taste like chips.

My husband was reading about the benefits of eating Kale, so I mentioned that the kids might be open to eating Kale Chips. Great timing to find this recipe! We will try it out soon.
