Oven Roasted Asparagus

This is the time of year when you can get a really good deal on asparagus. They are coming into season in my area. Most the local food store will have them on sale for around $.99 lb Normally I would steam or cooked them over a medium high heat in a frying pan with some expeller pressed coconut oil. Or when we grilled out I would cook them right on the charcoal grill. They are so delicious when you grill them so I decided to try roasting them in the oven. They turned out perfect. So simple.

You’ll need:.

Fresh asparagus

olive oil or I use expeller pressed coconut oil

2 cloves fresh garlic minced or garlic powder

Rinse your asparagus and snap off the tough ends.

Spread out in a single layer on a large baking sheet.

Drizzle with olive oil.

Sprinkle with minced fresh garlic orΒ garlic powder

Bake in a 425 F oven for 12 to 15 minutes depending on size of asparagus.

Cooking them this way that enhances the flavor. Serve and eat πŸ™‚

I share at these parties πŸ™‚

My stomach is growling thinking of how wonderful this must be. I love asparagus; my husband doesn’t. But that meant I had all of it to myself when I bought it recently, and made an entire bunch to eat for my lunch. So good. Your recipe is a must-try. Thank you for sharing in the GRAND Social!

I love asparagus cooked this way! It took me a while to even know how to pick out and buy good asparagus…I always looked for big fat round stalks but have since learned it’s the skinnier ones with the most flavor. Then I learned you could roast them like this and it’s almost a snack in my house now πŸ™‚
