Ham and Green Beans in the Slow Cooker
It’s Friday the 13th!
Been pretty busy this morning with my mom and 2 of the grandkids.
I said in an earlier post, I am doing all things ham this week. Gotta get rid of the leftovers. Plus this time of year you can get some great deals on ham. For years I have made this recipe, it’s so simple and only has a few ingredients. Better get back to chasing the kids!
Ingredients
- 2lb cooked ham (cubed)
- 2lb fresh green beans
- 2lb potatoes (cubed)
- 1 cup chicken broth or water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- fresh pepper
Instructions
- Layer the ham, potatoes, and green beans in the slow cooker starting with the potatoes,
- then the green beans,
- finishing with the ham.
- Sprinkle 1/3 of the garlic powder and some pepper on top of each layer.
- Set your slow cooker to low and cook for 8 hours.
- Stir and serve.
