Green Beans with Rosemary & Garlic

On Thanksgiving I like serving fresh green beans. The typical green bean casserole is delicious but can be very high in fat and calories. I also prefer to be able to taste the green beans in the recipe. This is super simple and the flavor it wonderful. I actually learned how to make these when I worked in catering 15 years ago, except we used canned green beans, dried rosemary and garlic powder. This recipe is so simple and tastes amazing.
You’ll need:
1 pound fresh or frozen green beans (I used fresh, I steamed to get them partially cooked and plunged them in ice water to stop the cooking process).
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon fresh chopped rosemary or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 clove of garlic crushed or more if you love garlic like we do 🙂
Heat the oil in a skillet, add the garlic and rosemary.
Add the green beans and stir fry until tender.
I love the flavor of these green beans. The rosemary gives it a unique flavor.
