This is the time of year when you can get a really good deal on asparagus. They are coming into season in my area. Most the local food store will have them on sale for around $.99 lb Normally I would steam or cooked them over a medium high heat in a frying pan with some expeller pressed coconut oil. Or when we grilled out I would cook them right on the charcoal grill. They are so delicious when you grill them so I decided to try roasting them in the oven. They turned out perfect. So simple.
You’ll need:.
Fresh asparagus
olive oil or I use expeller pressed coconut oil
2 cloves fresh garlic minced or garlic powder
Rinse your asparagus and snap off the tough ends.
Spread out in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
Drizzle with olive oil.
Sprinkle with minced fresh garlic or garlic powder
Bake in a 425 F oven for 12 to 15 minutes depending on size of asparagus.
Cooking them this way that enhances the flavor. Serve and eat 🙂
