A couple days ago Amazon was offering one of those fabulous free e-books that I love so much. This one was for Vitamin Water. ( As of this posting it is still free, if it’s not $.99 isn’t a bad price). It gave great combinations of different fruits and herbs to use for flavoring water. It’s so simple and I can honestly say I loved it. I tried a simple combination of strawberries and blueberries. The flavor is very mild. You could add a sweetener if you like. I like it without so you can actually taste the fruit not the sugar. It a great change from drinking water in the hot summer months.
You’ll need:
2 cups sliced strawberries
1/2 cup blueberries
1 quart filtered water
1 Quart glass jar with a lid (love my mason jars)
wooden spoon
Place sliced strawberries and whole blueberries into jar
Fill will filtered water
Take a wooden spoon and press it against the fruit to release more of their juices.
Cover and chill for at least 3 hours. Keep up to 3 days chilled.
I share at these parties
