My Night Spent in The Monroe “Demon” House

The popular TV show “Paranormal Lockdown,” called this house “Demon House.” This ordinary house has a dark past. Human bones were found in the basement during the filming of the TV show. After hearing voices, a hired hand fled the house and never returned for his tools. It is believed there is something evil lurking in the basement.

The house sits on a small hill in the middle of an old neighborhood in town. The house looks dark and neglected, some of the windows are boarded up. The owner tells us many stories about the house and people’s experiences as he gives us a quick tour.

We were hoping to set up cameras in the basement where the bones were found and the demon activity was reported but the floor had flooded after a recent heavy rain. The house had recently been used for a Halloween event and there was a coffin and other scary stuff.

The house had been split into apartments. I grabbed my flashlight and started up the dark stairs. Upstairs there was a small old-fashioned kitchen and a large empty room next to it. I sat down on the floor of the room. Everyone took their assigned place and we started a session.

After our session, which consisted of listening to traffic on the road from the broken windows covered with plywood. I decided to get up and walk around. I like to check out all the nooks and crannies of each room with my flashlight. On the kitchen counter, there was a baby doll. I hadn’t given it much thought, except she looked creepy. As I was looking around, all of a sudden, the baby doll started screeching. I nearly passed out. My screams made the other ladies come running. We thought the baby doll was haunted. It turns out the baby doll is light-activated. She only screams when you shine a light on a specific spot on her body. That was a good scare.

The rest of our investigation was uneventful. The demons must have taken the night off. Maybe next time.

Would you spend the night at the Monroe house?
See you after dark.
