Heart Krispie Treats

It’s almost Valentine’s Day. I decided I would whip up some cute heart shaped rice krispie treats with my grand daughter. I wanted to make them pink. I added food coloring to regular white mini marshmallows. My grand kids are picky they would never try the strawberry flavored. This is a very easy and fun way to make something yummy with the grand kids. Here’s Katie my little helper for today. She is an amazing spoon licker as well as.bowl cleaner. 😉
You’ll need:
6 Cups rice krispies
1 bag mini marshmallow (10 oz bag)
4 tablespoons butter
3 or 4 drops of pink food coloring
oil
In a large pan melt the marshmallows and butter together over a low heat.
Add the food coloring and mix well.
Remove from heat
Stir in the rice krispies until evenly coated.
Spray baking pan with oil.
Spread the krispie mixture out with a buttered rubber spatula.
You can make it as thick or as thin as you like.
Butter your cookie cutters.
Press into mixture and they should come right out of the cutter.
