Okay, have you been wondering what all the talk is about these odd looking lamps made out of a hunk of salt? I was drawn to them because of the beautiful light they give and the health aspects of them, .it’s fascinating. I have been doing some research about the benefits of owning a  Himalayan salt lamp. So today I’m sharing with you Affordable Himalayan Salt Lamps and 5 Reasons You Need at Least One.

I bought my first Himalayan Salt lamp about a year ago. I’d been doing some research about the health benefits of Himalayan salt online and found many fascinating things.

1. Reduce EM (electromagnetic) exposure, neutralize EM radiation. Keep one on your desk to neutralize EM or place next to any electronics you and your family use frequently. My goal is to have at least one on the nightstand, on the living room end table where I sit, and at the office where I am around electronics as I work.

2. Environment-friendly light source. It’s carved from natural Himalayan salt crystals. It gives off a warm cozy glow which I love.

3. Works like an air purifier. Cleans air dust through the heat emanated by the lamp, improves breathing difficulties, cough, and other symptoms. Salt lamps absorb water and particles from the air, it also takes positive ions with them. Then, when the heated salt releases cleansed water vapor back into the air, it also expels negative ions which have the opposite effect on our airway.

4. Increase Energy Levels. Balances the body, boosts the immune system and gives back lost energy.

5. A therapeutic glow of orange hues. Gives off a calming natural glow, reducing pressure and anxiety. They say the negative salt ions released by heating the Himalayan Salt Lamp boost blood flow, improve sleep, increase levels of serotonin in the brain.
