Cleaning products are so expensive. I used to would stock up on them when a sale was good and I had a coupon. I like the GreenWorks products. I came across this recipe on The Frugal Girls. I love it. It works great and there is no obnoxious smell. Much better to use around the grand kids,
Homemade All Purpose Spray Cleaner
2 Tbsp distilled white vinegar
1 tsp borax (this can be found in most grocery stores in the laundry section)
1/8 cup Dawn dish washing liquid
1 cup hot water
16 oz trigger spray bottle (I reused an old spray cleaner bottle)
Pour vinegar, borax and hot water into the spray bottle
Then continue filling spray bottle with cool water
Add Dawn dish soap last – no need to shake
The cost is pennies to make. The borax is a couple dollars to purchase. You use very little so it will make quite a few bottles of cleaner. Please share what you do to save money on household cleaners.
