Perfectly Cooked Bacon

I love eating bacon, I don’t love frying it on the stovetop. My son Sean recently shared with me how he cooks his bacon. It’s so nice to share cooking tips with my kids they are so grown up. Anyway, he told me he cooks it in the oven no muss no fuss. I couldn’t believe it until I made it myself. I wish I’d found this out years ago. We love thick butcher cut peppered bacon.
What you do is line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Lay the bacon side by side on the parchment paper. The bacon can touch but do not overlap the pieces. Place in a preheated 400-degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes until crispy. Times vary depending on the thickness of the bacon. Place on a paper towel to drain of the excess grease. That’s all there is to it! You can discard the bacon grease or do like I do and save it to flavor recipes later. Read all about how to do that here.
Do you have any tips or tricks that you use in your home that you’d like to share?
