It’s early May, have you had your first hamburger off the grill? We start grilling out as soon as the weather warms up. We love our old fashioned charcoal grill. We even have a portable one to take on camping trips and even on vacation. There have been so many times when we rent a cabin and they have Propane grills, so we bring our own. We love a good juicy burger, I like to flavor them up by adding different seasoning and cheeses. Today I am sharing a recipe for Spinach and Blue Cheese Hamburgers. They are delicious!
You’ll need:
2 pounds ground beef, I use grass fed ground chuck
1 cup chopped fresh spinach
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
2 green onions chopped
salt and pepper
In a large bowl combine all the ingredients. Mixing with your hands.
Form into patties. You can decide how many patties you want to make. We like big burgers, I usually make 3 per pound.
Grill on a hot grill until the internal temperature reaches at least 165 degrees F or until the juices run clear. The cooking time varies depending on the thickness of your burger.
We always let the meat rest for 5 or 10 minutes after cooking. Serve with your favorite condiments and enjoy. Be careful they are very juicy. 🙂 What are your favorite burger recipes?
