Dougherty Exhibit at Wegerzyn Gardens
Dougherty Exhibit at Wegerzyn Gardens dubbed “A Wiggle in It’s Walk”. The sculpture done by woven wood artist Patrick Dougherty . It took more than 1000 volunteer man hours to create. Dougherty created a nearly 200 foot long tunnel that coils around Wegerzyn’s North Plaza. It’s woven entirely of willow branches that had been encroaching upon the fishing lakes at Englewood MetroPark, In Dec of 2013 it will be added to the compost at Wegerzyns Gardens.
As you can see the grand kids went crazy. They were chasing each other inside the tunnel round and round. It made me very dizzy 🙂 Wegerzyn Gardens is part of the Five Rivers Metro Parks. It’s FREE and it’s awesome! Enjoy the tour 🙂
Shared at these parties 🙂
