Hey all you moon watchers. The moon will be full today at 3:57 PM est. Did you know that the Native Americans named the full moons? This month it’s named the full pink moon because it’s named after the herb moss pink, also known as wild ground phlox. It is the earliest wide spread flowers of spring.

The coastal tribes called this moon the full fish moon. Each region named the moon in accordance to what would happen in the area at the time of the full moon.
