My granddaughter is obsessed with Unicorns. So in preparation for her 10th birthday, we started looking for Unicorn Birthday Party Ideas. We came up with 11 Unicorn Birthday Party Ideas that are clever, gorgeous, and simply delicious!

Unicorn Sundae Bar

We made a Unicorn Sundae Bar for My granddaughter’s birthday party. Here are the items we chose for our party. You can choose any topping that you like. We looked for pastel-colored toppings and added things like chocolate because we had to have some chocolate.

I stopped at my local thrift store and found a pair of pink sparkling curtains, sundae glasses. That’s about all we need here, next off our local DollarTree Store. My granddaughter made most of the choices herself.

Rainbow sherbet ice cream
Vanilla ice cream
Pastel colored sprinkles
Gummies, bears, and worms
Pink sanding sugar
Chocolate chips
Mini Starbursts
Mini colored marshmallows
Crumbled Oreos and chocolate chip cookies
Chocolate syrup

Unicorn Cake

We also made a Unicorn Cake. It turned out beautifully.
You can add additional flowers if you’d like, we decided not to. We decided to keep the cake with a rounded top.

Unicorn Birthday Cake

Ingredients

Unicorn Cake

  • 2 white cake mixes plus ingredients listed on the box. Prepare as directed.
  • 4 colors Food coloring I used gel

Buttercream Frosting

  • 3 cups Powdered sugar
  • 10 tablespoons butter
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons milk

Instructions

Unicorn Cake

  1. Separate the prepared cake mix batter into 4 bowls. Add a different color to each bowl. Mix until completely combined and pour each bowl into a greased and floured 8-inch round cake pan.
  2. Bake as directed on the cake box.
  3. After the cakes have cooled completely remove them from the cake pans.

Buttercream Frosting

  1. Using a stand mixer, cream the butter, slowly add the sugar and vanilla. Add the milk, whip until creamy. I find using a stand mixer instead of my hand mixer it makes the frosting extra creamy.
  2. Frost each layer, don't skimp on the frosting! Top with the Unicorn horn and eyelashes.
  3. You can add additional flowers if you'd like, we decided not to. We decided to keep the cake with a rounded top.
  4. Unicorn Horn decoration for the cake. Found this really cute one on Amazon.
