I have to confess I have been having a hard time blogging lately. With the warm weather comes so many other activities it’s hard to sit down inside and work on my lap top. We have been doing much needed work on the outside of our house this summer. Plus my daughter is preparing for a big move in a couple weeks. Most of my meals have been grilled or on work nights slow cooker dinners. Last night I made an easy slow cooker recipe using round steak. I stopped at the farmer’s market on my way home for lunch and picked up some red skin potatoes. Plus I have a couple hand fulls of green beans from the garden. I threw both into the slow cooker with a piece of round steak It turned out delicious. It’s amazing how something so simple can be made fork tender delicious and all I had to do was put it all in a pot. I love my slow cooker!
You’ll need:
Round steak ~ trim the fat
potatoes cut in bite size pieces
green beans
McCormicks Grill Mates Garlic and Herb seasoning
Put the cut up potatoes on the bottom of the slow cooker, sprinkle with seasoning. Next the green beans and sprinkle with the seasoning. Place the cut up meat on top and sprinkle again with seasoning. It’s that simple. I don’t add any liquid because it creates it’s own while slow cooking.
Cook on low for 8 hours. Stir and eat.
This evening we are having company for a couple of days. My cousin is visiting from Brazil. She has lived there most of her adult life. She is a MaryKnoll Nun. She works with women and children’s issues and needs. I love when she visits!
I share at these parties 🙂
