I want to share my Christmas version of Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies. It’s an easy recipe to make. Katie loved rolling the cookies in sugar and sprinkles. This gives them a Christmas look and they taste yummy too. The whole wheat flour gives them a nice texture.
You’ll need:
chocolate kisses we also used mini peanut butter cups
1/2 cup butter softened
3/4 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup Sucanat/sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/3 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
red and green sugar sprinkles
Pre heat oven to 375 F
In a large bowl mix the butter, peanut butter.
Add sugars and mix together.
Add eggs, Katie’s favorite part.
Add milk and vanilla.
In another bowl combine the flour, baking soda and salt.
Slowly add the flour to the peanut butter.
Mix it all together. Cover and chill for a couple hours or over night.
After the dough has chilled, unwrap the kisses and peanut butter cups. Put your sugar in bowls.
Roll the dough into one inch balls. Now comes the fun part, rolling the cookie balls in the colored sugar.
Lay on a parchment paper coverered baking sheet.
I surprised Katie with some special pink sprinkles beacuse pink is her absolute favorite color 🙂
Bake for 8 – 10 minutes.
After you remove them from the oven press the kiss or peanut butter cup in the center. I quick set mine in the freezer. Enjoy 🙂
