Asparagus with Whole Wheat Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh asparagus Cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 lb fresh mushrooms sliced
  • 4 medium tomatoes peeled and diced or 15 oz can
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 8 ounce whole wheat pasta cooked al dente

Instructions

  1. n a frying pan over medium heat, saute minced garlic in olive oil for 1 minute.

  2. Add asparagus pieces and saute with garlic for 3 minutes.

  3. Add sliced mushrooms, saute 2 minutes.

  4. Add tomatoes.

  5. Add crushed pepper flakes and mix together.

  6. Add cream cheese.

  7. Mix. Simmer until bubbling.

  8. Mix in parmesan cheese, simmer until bubbling.

  9. Serve.
