Simple Apple Pie Turnovers

Ingredients

  • 8 count refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted
  • 2 Granny Smith apples peeled and diced
  • a dash of lemon juice optional
  • 1/4 cup sugar I used organic coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Open the crescent roll package and separate the triangles on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
  3. In a small bowl mix the butter, apples, sugar, and cinnamon together. Add a dash of lemon juice.
  4. Spoon 1/4 of the apple mixture onto a triangle. Top with another triangle and pinch the sides together to seal the triangles together.
  5. Repeat with the last 6 triangles.
  6. Bake for 13 minutes, until golden brown.
  7. In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar, and milk together until it makes a frosting that's thin enough to drizzle on top of the turnovers.
  8. Transfer the apple turnovers to a plate.
  9. Drizzle the icing over the turnovers when they are still warm.
  10. Now it's time to enjoy them!
