So here it was Christmas morning, everyone was expected to be at our house at noon, and I still wanted to make one more treat. I decided to make these simple five ingredient peanut butter chocolate bars. They can easily be made in less than 30 minutes; thank goodness because that’s about all the time I had to spare that morning!

Making these peanut butter chocolate bars brought back fond memories of my oldest and dearest friend, Debbie. When we were young, I remember Debbie’s mom always kept a glass jar high up in one of their kitchen cabinets, it was filled with Reese cups.

I remember many times anxiously watching her mom take down that jar and her handing Debbie and I our own Reese cup. To this day Debbie and I still laugh about how much we all love peanut butter cups!

We live several hours from each other now and on my last visit, I gave Debbie a big pie-sized peanut butter cup. The time before that, a glass jar filled with Reese cups. On my next visit, I’m going to bring these simple five ingredient peanut butter chocolate bars.

You’ll need:

1 cup butter softened
2 cups creamy peanut butter
4 cups confectioner sugar
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
4 cups milk chocolate chips, melted

In a medium bowl, blend the peanut butter and softened butter. Slowly mix in the confectioner sugar. Add the vanilla, mix.

Spread the peanut butter/sugar mixture in a 13×9 inch pan. Spread the melted milk chocolate evenly over the top.

Lick your fingers, cover, and chill for a couple hours before cutting and serving. And there you have it! Delicious and simple, no bake peanut butter chocolate bars using just 5 ingredients. 🙂
