Homemade Sweet Corn Bread

I’ve made skillet cornbread and it was quite delicious. I was looking for something a little different and found this recipe.

Homemade Corn Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour/flour
  • 1/4 cup unrefined sugar/sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder aluminum free
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 quarter cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Combine the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt together in a bowl.
  2. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture, add the egg, milk, sour cream, and melted butter.
  3. Combine it all together.
  4. Lightly grease an 8 x 8 baking pan. Evenly spread the batter in the pan.
  5. Bake in a 400 degree F oven for minutes.

Combine the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt together in a bowl.

Bake in a 400 degree F oven for 20 – 25 minutes or a toothpick comes out clean.
