Fresh Corn on the Grill

Spent some time with the grand kids this week. It was still pretty hot so they spent  most of the time playing with water.

They play so hard they wear themselves out. Me too.

It’s mid July and we are grilling like crazy. It actually means less work for me and clean up is a breeze. The corn is in and it has been really good so far. Last year I bought enough to freeze for the winter. I started my freezing yesterday. I will do that weekly until I freeze enough for this coming winter. I will post a how to this week.

Grilling corn is simple.

You’ll need:

Fresh corn

Olive oil

Seasoning, I use Weber’s Garlic and Herb.

Hot grill

Remove the husks and silks from your corn.

Lay on a large platter or cookie sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Coat corn by turning in oil.

Sprinkle with seasoning. I use Weber’s Garlic and Herb. (Love it) You can choose whatever you like. Even a little garlic powder would be great.

Roast on the grill for 10 minutes tops, turning every few minutes. It will depend on how hot your grill is. The flavor is outstanding and you don’t need to put anything else on it. Just take off the grill and enjoy.

I was so excited to eat the corn I almost forgot to take my finished pictured 😉
