Portobello Mushroom Burger

Ingredients
  • 2 portobello mushrooms
  • ⅛ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • mozzarella cheese or cheese of your choice
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, oregano, basil, garlic, salt and pepper.
  2. Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel and remove the stem.
  3. Lay the mushrooms cap side down in a shallow dish.
  4. Pour the marinade over the mushrooms and let stand at room temperature for 20 minutes. Turning a couple times.
  5. You can cook the mushrooms on the grill or do like I did and broil them. It's cold outside!
  6. Cook about 8 minutes each side. Top with cheese during the last minute.
