Portobello Mushroom Burger

- 2 portobello mushrooms
- ⅛ cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- salt and pepper
- mozzarella cheese or cheese of your choice
- In a small bowl whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, oregano, basil, garlic, salt and pepper.
- Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel and remove the stem.
- Lay the mushrooms cap side down in a shallow dish.
- Pour the marinade over the mushrooms and let stand at room temperature for 20 minutes. Turning a couple times.
- You can cook the mushrooms on the grill or do like I did and broil them. It's cold outside!
- Cook about 8 minutes each side. Top with cheese during the last minute.
