The Gathering Spot # 82 and a Tribute

the gathering spot

Happy New Year!

Welcome to The Gathering Spot this is a linky party. This is the first party of 2014 and I woke up very excited about the party … until I found out a very dear blogging friend passed away on New Years day. I decided to dedicate this party to my sweet friend.

Judy @ Judy H – J’s Thoughts A Twinless Twin. She loved linky parties and attended just about everyone of mine, Judy was almost always my first link up each week. 🙂 She would leave such sweet thoughtful comments on my posts. Judy started writing her blog about 3 years ago just like me. We became blogging friends right from the beginning. I was always wanting to hear more about Jamaica, that’s where Judy was from. She would share pictures and describe her native flowers, trees and vegetables. Judy was so excited when finally got a decent camera to take her pictures with. So was I, her pictures are lovely.

What she loved the most was sharing her memories of her twin Janine who passed in 2008. She would share pictures, mementos, and most of all, wonderful stories of the times they shared. The strong bond of twins.

I am going to miss our visits my sweet friend. But you are walking with Janine, back at our Father’s home. Heaven’s a little brighter with your shining soul back home. Rest in Peace beautiful Judy. xxoo

Feel free to share your recipes, crafts or whatever it is you have been doing the past week from your blog with my followers. If you are not a blogger feel free to leave comments with your ideas. Each week I will feature the link that had the most clicks from the week before. I will also be featuring posts through out the week on my facebook page, and twitter. All I ask is that you follow my blog by any of the ways I have listed, or on my side bar. Leave a comment and let me know you are a new follower and I will follow you back. Please link your post back to the blog hop. You can grab my button from the sidebar or simply add a text link somewhere on your blog. With all that being said…Let’s Party!

I’m still in shock about Judy! She linked up to AMBF and was one of the nicest people I have ever met online.

For some reason, I never knew you hosted another party from our Sunday …. where the heck have I been?! This just reiterates my need to weed through my Feedly and 1. either get rid of the blogs I’m no longer interested in or 2. move the ones I want to see regularly into another feed! I feel so bad that I didn’t know, Diane! :/
