‘prAna’ Versatile, Stylish, Sustainable Clothing & Accessories *Review*

This is a sponsored post and I have been compensated in some way. All opinions are my own.

In a garage, in Carlsbad California, in the year 1992, ‘prAna‘ was born, versatile, stylish, sustainable clothing and accessories. It was the brainchild of Beaver and Pam Theodosakis. Back in the 90’s real yoga and climbing clothes were hard to find and not stylish. They decide to make their own clothing and sell them using sustainable materials.

SUSTAINABILITY:
Organic Cotton
Recycled Wool
Hemp
Recycled Polyester
Responsible Down
bluesign®
Fair Trade
Fair Labor Association
Responsible Forest Materials
Polybag Reduction
Traceability

Their core belief is “that companies like ours should give much more than they take from the world.” That is why I agreed to do my first ever clothing review. I am very particular about what I wear.  I like to look nice… but being comfortable is more important than anything else.

The fact that ‘prAna’ has grown from a small home-based business using sustainable practices for so many years is so amazing!

The outfit I chose is the Stacia sweater with the  Kara Jean.

Stacia sweater is made with 100% Organic cotton, it’s a melange sweater knit, with Dolman sleeves, and novelty stitch at front. FAIR TRADE CERTIFIED™, Relaxed fit.

It nice and roomy and fits comfortably over a tank top or yoga clothes. If you want a fitted sweater this is not the sweater for you. I love it being roomy, it was comfortable I’ll be able to wear it for casual or I can dress it up, very versatile! I’m planning on wearing my new outfit when we go out to dinner this weekend. We were planning on going last week but a couple of us came down with a virus. I decided to wear my outfit today so I could share with you, how it looks, fits, and feels. Please excuse my photos… I’ve spent my whole life avoiding a camera, time to conquer another fear! I wouldn’t have imaged in my wildest dreams I’d be doing this today. Anyway… buckle up here we go!

They Offer the ‘Kara’ in a solid and printed 5-pocket jean with rivets, fitted, tapered legs, and low rise soft stretch ‘Kara’ denim, made with 79% Organic Cotton / 19% Polyester / 2% Spandex.

The Kara is a skinny jean, that look great cuffed. They’ll look great with boots and sandals, the fabric is dressy, but not too dressy. The jeans have a little stretch which helps them keep their shape while you’re wearing them, no sagging in the rear if you know what I mean.

My sweet granddaughter was fascinated with my self-photography. I am using my timer and tripod, she liked pressing the button and running to be in the picture.

I am very happy with my prAna outfit. My husband really liked my outfit too, especially the Kara jeans. 😉 Next, I’m going to get a pair of yoga pants. I am so happy that I found prAna!

So if you’re looking for a gift for that special someone, that friend or family member who cares about sustainability, along with style, and comfort… or better yet buy something for yourself, after all, you deserve the best!

Okay, what do you think of prAna?

Both the jeans and the jumper look comfortable AND stylish – usually it is either or. I like the fact that they use sustainable practices. I will definitely have a look at their yoga clothes too.

I am familiar with their line and own a couple of their tops. They are beautifully made and fit so nicely… Such a great feel on the skin too. 🙂
