Meatloaf Heart Shaped

Every Valentine’s Day since my children were small I made a heart shaped meatloaf and pink mashed potatoes for dinner. They loved it and now my grand kids love it too. You can use my recipe for meatloaf or use your own :)

You’ll need:

1 lb ground beef

1 lb ground pork ( or use all beef)

1 cup dried bread crumbs or 3 slices of bread cubed

1/2 cup milk

1 egg beaten

1/4 cup minced onion

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Put the ground meat in a large bowl.

Cube up the bread.

Add the bread to the meat and mix.

Add the rest of the ingredients .

Mix it up real good.

Foil line a cake pan and shape into a heart <3

I like to put ketchup on top. Bake at 350 F. for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Temp above 165 F.

I share at these parties

What did you use to color the mashed potatoes? *I love the heart shapped meatloaf idea. We love meatloaf at my house.

I used food coloring Debbie. John loves meatloaf and so do I. I also make it in the slow cooker.
