If you are a regular follower of my blog then you know I’m all about made from scratch cooking. Sometimes it can be time consuming and I work more than one job. Even though I like to make most of my own stuff sometimes I don’t have the time or the energy to cook. It’s nice to have something easy on hand on those nights I don’t get home from work until 7 PM. I want great taste, freshness (not preservatives + 0g Trans Fat), a simple, versatile protein. Well guess what? I’ve found these new and different products from Hormel at Kroger. Our Kroger’s is a very big MarketPlace so I asked for help finding the Hormel Everyday Scratch and Hot Meat Sandwich Products. They are in the refrigerated section of prepared entrees. They make a great head start with your favorite recipes.
I decided to get the Philly Cheese Steak because I knew my husband would like that one the best. It’s alway his first choice of subs. You can use this $1.00 off coupon to save on your first purchase. Woot woot!
Philly Cheese Steak Hot Sandwich Meat
4 whole wheat buns
shredded mozzarella cheese
fresh garden tomato
In a small pan heat your Steak meat over medium heat.
Butter your buns for toasting in a large pan over medium heat.
After your steak meat is hot and bubbly, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, cover until melted.
Spoon onto the toasted bun and serve with a fresh vegetable on the side.
The second recipe I want to share today I’m using Hormel Everyday Scratch.
I decided to make a Shredded Pork Wrap. It’s another quick an easy recipe that you can put together in less than a half hour. It’s perfect using Everyday Scratch fully cooked pork because it saves you a step in cooking. Your protein is cooked and ready to add to your recipes, how easy is that? The best part is that it’s moist, tender, and full of flavor, like I made it myself. Finally high quality ingredients with straight from the grill flavor. Let’s get this recipe started with another $1.00 off coupon! I love coupons. 🙂
Hormel Everyday Scratch Pulled Pork
1 can of black beans drained
1/4 cup diced onion
1/4 cup green pepper
Heat your pulled pork in a large pan, separating as it warms up.
Add onion, green pepper, cayenne pepper and rice vinegar to the pulled pork. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until heated through and your onion is softened.
Serve on a floured tortilla and top with feta cheese and fresh garden tomatoes. Yum.
