Have you ever had to “sit this one out” because you have knee or hip pain? Most of us, when we start having aches and joint pain we tolerate it, chalk to up to getting older… I’m here to tell you that’s not true! You don’t have to tolerate it! Are you missing out on time with your grandkids because you have knee or hip pain? Are You stuck on pause? Let me tell you… it’s “Time to Hit Play”!
I remember when I started having a sharp pain in my knee every time I got up from a squat position, I tried to ignore it at first, figured it would go away on its own, it didn’t. I finally went to the doctor and was given exercises especially for my knees. They told me if this doesn’t help we would explore other options. Doing the exercises as prescribed made a difference and now
they I feel great. I’m just saying… don’t put off going to a doctor to get information on what you can do about your joint pain.
My husband and I are very fortunate that we are able to spend a large amount of time with the grandkids. I
can’t won’t let pain slow me down. I have so many things I want to do stuff with the kids before they get older and want to hang out with their friends. A couple weeks ago we took them fishing down in Florida. We had a blast! I wouldn’t have been able to do nearly as much as I did if I didn’t take care of my knee pain. You have to be in pretty good shape to keep up with these very active five and eight-year-olds.
Like I said I’ve been fortunate that it was an easy fix for me, but my brother-in-law and sister-in-law have both had knee and hip replacement surgeries. I watched their long struggles, recovery and now they are back to now living life pain-free. Working with a chiropractor for almost 20 years I talk to people almost on a daily basis who struggle with some degree of pain in their knees or hips. I like being able to tell them there is hope for them to have a pain-free life. That there are new treatment options for hip and knee pain. It’s not always surgery. I can’t remember one person who has said they regretted doing something about their joint pain.
Don’t wait… every day you put your life “on pause” you are missing out on precious time with your family and friends. Hit play button and get back into life!
Okay, I’ve given you the information you need to get started. The first thing you need to do is talk to a physician and see what your treatment options are. You can use the Hit Play initiative sponsored by DePuy Synthes use the Physician Locator to locate a physician near you.
