Apron Swap

I must confess I am not an apron wearer. I have ruined I can’t tell you how many tops because of that fact. I worked in a big kitchen years ago and had always worn one, I guess I just got out of the habit. I looked many times while shopping and have never been able to find one I liked. I was visiting Katherine’s Corner awhile back and I saw she was hosting an Apron Swap. I thought this would be a great opportunity for me to finally get an apron.

My swap partner was Lorraine, Rain for short. Her blog is My Farm on the Hill, and it’s so cute. Lots of pictures of her family and especially her little grandson. I received my apron from Rain last week and it is gorgeous! The package was so pretty.

I almost hate to wear it so it will stay nice and clean.

Rain handmade my apron so I will wear it with great pleasure. Every Time I wear it I will think of Rain making it for me. She also said she had enough material to make one for her daughter. I love the chickens!

She also sent me 2 beautiful handmade sheep cards that her and her sister have been making for years. They are precious! I’ll hate to give them away ;)

She handmade the card with pictures of her chickens with a feather attached. I have always wanted chickens. I’m going to set the card on my kitchen window sill so I can enjoy looking at them.

It was such a great experience for me. Thanks to Katherine at Katherine’s Corner for hosting such a unique swap. Katherine has the most beautiful blog. Make sure you go pay her a visit.
